*Interlock allows up to 3 19-year-olds on 18u teams, in which case the 18u rate would apply.
We would process the 19-year-olds on a first come, first served basis and apply the registration fee package manually at a later date.

**There is potentially a 2nd Tier NDBA team that would play in the InterCounty loop, which would be 22u, and have higher costs, and more travel.
This team may or may not be hosted in St.Catharines. Again, we would process the package rate manually at a later date.

Either way, we will communicate with these families as further information is finalized.

  • There will be a $25.00 administration charge for all NSF cheques.
  • Children will not be considered registered & accepted until full payment has been made.

"PAY TO PLAY" DEADLINES

  • A registration is not considered to be final & accepted until the registration fee has been paid in full.
  • Any registration with an outstanding balance as of May 31 will either not be placed on a team, or will not be allowed to play/practice until the remaining balance has been paid in full.
  • At such time, if a waiting list has been established in your particular division, your child(ren)'s spot may not be guaranteed.
    • Should your child(ren) not have a spot for this season, any payments we have received to that date will be refunded, minus our $25.00 administration charge (see Refund Policy above).

MULTIPLE CHILD DISCOUNT

  • Families that have 3 (or more) children playing in our Association are entitled to have the 3rd (or more) child(ren) play for free.
  • This discount will apply to the youngest child(ren), and will apply towards the House League division's rates if being applied to a child in the Rep Program.
  • If your family qualifies for this discount, please contact our Registrar PRIOR TO REGISTERING at playball@stcatharinesbaseball.ca.
    • Our Registrar will instruct you on how to get your discount which will require a code to use during the registration process.

WAITING LISTS

  • Registrations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • As divisions reach our current capacity, a waiting list will be created.
    • Should there be enough players on the waiting list in a particular division to allow the creation of another team, SCMBA will strive to create another team.
    • This is dependent on available resources such as park time, and coaches.

  • When registering onto a Waiting List, you will be required to pay a $5.00 registration fee. This fee will be non-refundable.
    • Once your child is placed onto a team, you will be charged for the registration (minus the $5.00).

  • SCMBA has been fairly successful in their ability to find spots for players on the waiting lists.

PLAYER RELEASE INFORMATION

  • Baseball Ontario regulates the movement of Rep (allstar) Players between OBA Associations.

  • If ...
    • Your family resides OUTSIDE of the City of St.Catharines, AND
    • Your child was rostered on another Rep team in Niagara last season, OR
    • Your Local Association (by residence) will be hosting a Rep team in your child's division (Minor or Major) this season...

  • If your child meets the above criteria, you will likely require an official PLAYER RELEASE from your Local Association (by residence).
  • This is a MANDATORY requirement, and the document is required to be in our possession prior to your child participating in ANY SCMBA ACTIVITY.
  • Please contact our Rep Program Convenor at repcobras@stcatharinesbaseball.ca to verify the requirement of a player release for your child, and to discuss the process involved.

  • If your family resides IN the City of St.Catharines, and you are wanting to tryout/play for a rep team in another Association, you will require a PLAYER RELEASE from SCMBA.
    • All release requests must be received in writing before April 1st (for the current season), or after September 1st (for the following season), and must include the reason the player is seeking a release.
    • NOTE: Under Baseball Ontario guidelines, players are required to play in their Local Association by residence, therefore SCMBA is under no obligation to grant player releases.
    • SCMBA will evaluate each request on its own merits in context with SCMBA & Baseball Ontario policies.
    • All release requests should be directed to our Registrar at playball@stcatharinesbaseball.ca.

  • House League Players (and by extension Select Players):
    • Do not require a player release to play in the House League division of another OBA Association (or come to SCMBA).
    • They must however return to their Home Association (by residence) in the future, or request & obtain a player release should they wish to tryout/play for a rep team other than in the Association where they reside.
