ALL coaches, regardless of Level & Division, will require a Police Background Check.
The level you coach at will determine the type of screening check that is required upon your first year volunteering.
New checks will be required at 3yr intervals, with a declaration form required for non-submission years.
When a second check is required, coaches will only need to complete a CPIC/EPIC check, even if they initially required a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
SCMBA will reimburse our coaches for the costs of the police check.
ALL coaches will be required to complete the following FREE NCCP courses:
NCCP Safe Sport
NCCP Making Head Way (concussions)
NCCP Emergency Action Plan
ALL coaches are requested to attend an online Concussion Presentation with Dr. Geoff Gamble from Niagara Health & Rehab Clinic.
This will occur prior to the start of the season.
Dr. Gamble's clinic is a certified CCMI (Complete Concussion Management Inc) clinic.
